Jamie Oliver
Jamie Oliver is a world-renowned British chef, food activist, and cookbook author. He is known for pioneering the farm-to-table casual dining movement and reinventing healthy school meals for children.
Much of Oliver’s fame can be attributed to his TV shows The Naked Chef (1999) which brought popularity to his relaxed and casual approach to cuisine, and Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution (2010) where he worked to reform American school meals to fight childhood obesity.
Jamie Oliver has worked extensively with student meals and school lunches with his “Feed Me Better” campaign. During his 2005 television series Jamie’s School Dinners, Oliver worked with a school cafeteria to develop healthier food items. He leverages his position as a worldwide icon to promote food change. He does so by helping underserved communities, developing government food programs, and more.
