Jocko Willink
Former Navy SEAL; co-author of #1 New York Times bestseller Extreme Ownership; co-founder of Echelon Front LLC


Jocko Willink is co-author of the #1 New York Times best-selling book, Extreme Ownership: How U.S. Navy SEALs Lead and Win and author of the forthcoming Discipline Equals Freedom: Field Manual in October 2017. He is also the author of the children’s series Way of the Warrior Kid; the first volume was released in May 2017, and the second volume will be released in February 2018.

 

A decorated retired Navy SEAL officer, Jocko spent 20 years in the U.S. Navy SEAL Teams and served as commander of SEAL Team Three’s Task Unit Bruiser during the battle of Ramadi in 2006. Jocko returned from Iraq to serve as Officer-in-Charge of training for all West Coast SEAL Teams, where he spearheaded the development of leadership training and personally instructed and mentored the next generation of SEAL leaders. During his career, Jocko was awarded the Silver Star, the Bronze Star, and numerous other personal and unit awards.

 

In 2010, Jocko retired from the Navy and launched a leadership and management consulting company, Echelon Front, to teach others how to build, train and lead high-performance, winning teams. He is also the co-creator and co-host of his own podcast, “The Jocko Podcast.”
