Katie Sturino
Katie Sturino is an entrepreneur, author, and body acceptance advocate. As the founder of Megababe, Katie has created an innovative beauty brand offering non-toxic, solution-oriented products that empower people to feel more comfortable and confident in their own skin. Known for their cult-favorite, taboo-busting products like Thigh Rescue, Bust Dust, Le Tush, and Butt Stuff, Megababe is available worldwide at Walmart, Amazon, Ulta, Target, Boots and more.
With her book Body Talk, an illustrated workbook released in 2021, and her debut novel Sunny Side Up (Celadon Books, 2025), Katie leans into her signature candor and humor to tell stories that empower women to improve the relationship they have with their body.
Through her body acceptance work, Katie Sturino empowers people of all sizes to find their confidence and celebrate their style. Her regular content series, #SuperSizeTheLook and “Weight Isn’t News” have gone viral, reaching millions of people and attracting global media attention. In 2024, when Katie called out WeightWatchers for their perpetuation of #DietCulture, Katie was invited to join Oprah on stage to unpack that topic.
As trailblazing beauty founder and leading voice in the body acceptance movement, Katie has been named one of Adweek’s Women Trailblazers, and appeared on TODAY with Hoda & Jenna, the Drew Barrymore Show, Good Morning America, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, New York Magazine, and Vogue.

Praise for Sunny Side Up
“Sunny Side Up is the sweet treat you’ve been craving. You’ll fall in love with Sunny — a modern-day Bridget Jones without the toxic self-loathing — as she navigates the pleasures and perils of being a big girl in a big city. If you love Katie Sturino’s Instagram feed and body positive message, you will love this absolute delight of a novel.”
—Jennifer Weiner, New York Times bestselling author of Good in Bed and The Griffin Sisters’ Greatest Hits
“I was team Sunny from page one! Sturino has created a next-gen Sex and the City where furniture store meet cutes are traded for app dating disasters and Carrie’s column is swapped for a Substack newsletter, all set against the backdrop of a new era of NYC hotspots. But at its center—as with the original—is a beating heart of female friendship and an unshakable belief in true love. If you follow Katie on social media, you’ll love how this book is loaded with easter eggs paying homage to the author herself—from Sunny’s pups, to her Max Mara teddy coat, to her Liberty print desk. Full of joy and laugh-out-loud funny moments, this novel was exactly what I needed.”
—Becca Freeman, author of The Christmas Orphans Club and co-host of the Bad on Paper podcast
“Funny, poignant, and totally life-affirming, Sunny Side Up will resonate deeply with any woman who has spent her precious time in battle with her own body. I can’t remember when I’ve fallen so deeply in love with a narrator.”
—Annabel Monaghan, National bestselling author of Nora Goes Off Script
