Daniel Henning has always been a storyteller. He is a NY Times Bestselling Audiobook Narrator – SOVAS Voice Arts Award winner, Audie Award Finalist, & Kirkus Earphones Winner for his 350+ audiobooks including the NY Times instant #1 Bestselling Somewhere Beyond the Sea, the sequel to his The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune.
Henning founded and is Publisher of AudiobookRush.com, the central hub for all news and information about audiobooks. He also recently founded Starshells of Madness, a small press whose first release is available at indie bookstores across the US and on Amazon.
As the Founding Artistic Director of Hollywood’s The Blank Theatre (“Best Production,” from LA Drama Critic Circle, LA Weekly Awards, Ovation Awards, BackStage Garland Awards, Broadway World etc.), Daniel Henning helped launch the careers of writers Stephen Karam, Leigh Bardugo, Austin Winsberg, Lauren Yee, and Max Wolf Friedlich. He received a Telly Award for “Best Writer” and the NAACP Theatre Award for “Best Director of a Musical”.
Henning was honored by the California State Legislature as a Pride Honoree, alongside US Congresswoman Sarah McBride, for his work in LGBTQ+ Equality and nurturing the future of the Arts. He is the Resident Historian for The Black Cat in Los Angeles – the place where PRIDE began – which is the site of the first major demonstration for LGBTQ+ rights in the United States (1967).
As an actor, Daniel Henning’s work has been seen on HBO, CBS, NBC, ABC, FOX, MTV, & Comedy Central. He is a graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, Circle in the Square Theatre School, and American Conservatory Theatre.
