Dr. Jeff Hertzberg is the co-author of the best-selling Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day, Healthy Bread in Five Minutes a Day, and Pizza and Flatbread in Five Minutes a Day with chef Zoë Francois. He is also a physician with 20 years of experience in health care as a practitioner, consultant, and medical school professor.  Hertzberg’s dual interest in baking and preventive health sparked a quest to adapt the techniquesof Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day for healthier ingredients in Healthy Bread in Five Minutes a Day.  He is a dynamic speaker who travels extensively on the lecture circuit to disseminate novel approaches to health improvement, in addition to teaching super-fast bread baking in cooking schools and on television.  He lives in Minneapolis with his wife and two daughters.
